
Bahrain National Anti-Doping Organization (BNADO) held a meeting with the Athletics Integrity Unit of (AIU), which included the CEO of the Organization, Mr. Saad Mubarak Alnefaie the Chairman of the Integrity Unit, Mr. David Howman, and the CEO of the Unit, Mr. Brett Clothier, along with the Secretary General of the Bahrain Athletics Association, Mr. Youssif Mohammed, and a number of organization officials and advisors.
The meeting focused on strengthening ties of cooperation and coordination to combat doping in the sports field, stemming from the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm commitment to the principles of clean sports and fair competition.
During the meeting, the CEO of BNADO reviewed the national anti-doping strategy and the advanced achievements made by the Organization in the past period. These achievements included the organization’s international recognition as an independent national body in implementing international standards by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), in addition to implementing a package of awareness and educational programs, anti-doping testing programs, and building strategic partnerships at the local and international levels.
The CEO appreciated the pivotal role and significant efforts made by the Integrity Unit to maintain the integrity of the sport of athletics, considering it a key strategic partner in the success of the organization’s strategy and its ambitious plans to combat doping.
